Book Two: Was Man Intended by Nature to be a Herbivorous Animal or Carnivorous Animal?
In 2013, I discovered a vintage raw-food gut-cleanse diet steeped in history and mired in controversy - a diet that even now, nearly 90 years after it was first developed, has a legion of fans across the world. Nature Cure pioneer Dorothea Snook inherited the diet from the founding figures of the nature cure movement.
Book one of my Nature Cure series investigates the history of this diet and includes the original diet charts for the 12-week gut cleanse plan. It tells the story of controversial Australian naturopath Dorothea Snook and her remarkable Boston educated mentor, Doctor Alice Caporn.
Included in the Nature Cure series are books by Snook and Caporn, available for sale for the first time since the 1930s to 1980s. These books contain vintage alkaline and vegan diets for a range of ailments, along with recipes and dietary advice spanning two centuries.
